Proprietress Cecilia Knight opened the salon in 1999 after more than 15 years as a top stylist and trainer for the renowned John Atchison. Atchison was trained by the legendary Vidal Sassoon and passed on precision hair cutting and coloring techniques to Cecilia.

Clients enjoy our quiet, comfortable, relaxing environment. Salon Cecilia's clientele includes many cancer fighters and survivors, and we are especially sensitive to the special needs of women who are facing medical challenges.

  • Solutions for Hair Loss - Salon Cecilia carries a large selection of quality wigs and hair pieces. We have access to all brands to get the best match for your hair texture, color and style. We can find a solution that suits you and your lifestyle, including special products to address complete baldness.
  • Custom Fit and Styled Wigs - A proper fit is critical for a natural appearance and comfort, and we ensure your wig is the correct size. We cut and style your wig so it looks and moves naturally. Initial styling is included in the price of the wig. (Even if you purchase a wig elsewhere, we can cut and style it for a more flattering look.)
  • Private Fitting Room - Feel secure, not self-conscious, for your consultations, fittings and styling services. We offer a private fitting room reserved for wig services.
  • Quality Products - You'll see and feel the difference in the quality products we use. We always recommend the best quality wigs for the most natural look and feel. We only recommend and use quality hair care products.
  • Professional Wig Care - If you wear a wig every day, we recommend that you wash and style it every 4-6 weeks. We can wash, condition and re-style your wig with a one-day turnaround - even if you purchased your wig somewhere else.
  • Full Salon Services - Salon Cecilia offers complete hair care services. We specialize in precision hair cuts, color and highlighting, perms and relaxers, hair weaves, extensions and braids. We customize individualized treatment and styling for our clients with thin hair and hair loss challenges.

Salon Cecilia serves clients from all parts of New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut. We invite you to a complimentary consultation, and we will help you determine how best to care for your hair and look your best.

Salon hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30am to 6:30pm. Appointments are always preferred, but
